Most Affordable Areas in Pune Under ₹15,000 Rent in 2026

Pune has some of India's best rent-to-quality ratios outside metro centres. These areas prove you don't need Baner or Koregaon Park prices to live well.

Pune is one of India's most affordable large IT cities — but even within Pune, there's a big gap between Baner/Koregaon Park pricing and the genuinely budget-friendly zones. Here's where you can live comfortably in Pune for ₹10,000–15,000 a month.

1. Hadapsar & Fatima Nagar

Hadapsar is close to Magarpatta City and EON IT Park — making it ideal for east Pune workers. Fatima Nagar is walkable to Magarpatta's gate. A 1BHK costs ₹10,000–15,000. The area is dense and somewhat chaotic, but extremely functional for daily life — abundant restaurants, grocery stores, and the Amanora Mall is nearby for weekend needs.

2. Kothrud (outskirts near Warje)

Kothrud proper commands premium rates, but Warje and Kothrud's outer pockets (near Paud Road) have 1BHKs at ₹10,000–14,000. Pune Metro (Pimpri–Swargate line) has a station at Vanaz which is accessible from this area, improving connectivity. Good schools, supermarkets, and a strong Marathi residential community make it a solid family choice.

3. NIBM Road & Kondhwa

South Pune's growing residential belt. NIBM Road and Kondhwa are popular with families who want space at lower cost. 1BHKs cost ₹9,000–14,000. The area has improved significantly with new restaurants, supermarkets, and societies over the last five years. It's not well-connected by public transport but is reasonably close to Hadapsar and Magarpatta via cab or two-wheeler.

4. Pimple Saudagar (outer pockets)

Pimple Saudagar's main pockets command ₹18,000+ but the outskirts and older buildings still have 1BHKs at ₹12,000–16,000. For Hinjewadi workers, this is one of the closest affordable options — a 15–20 minute commute. Auto and bus connectivity to Hinjewadi has improved, and the social scene along Pimple Saudagar's main road is good.

Pune is genuinely affordable compared to Bangalore or Mumbai. Even the "budget" areas here have decent infrastructure and community. Hadapsar for east-Pune workers, Warje for those who need south or central Pune access, Pimple Saudagar outer for Hinjewadi workers who can't afford Wakad pricing. Always verify water supply and power backup before signing in Pune.
